We visited the Westwinds Ranch in June for our end of school year trip for grades three, four and five. We took the “Fields to Forests’ tour which included; a visit to the barn, interacting with a great variety of young animals; a wagon ride to the back of the property where we planted 80+ spruce and talked about how important trees are to the earth; and a lunch in the play area. Our students loved this field trip; everything was so hands on and accessible, the animals well-handled and approachable; the owners warm, enthusiastic and child-oriented. We can’t wait to come back again, there are so many great fall programs to choose from. This time we’d bring the primary classes too!! Great value, great fun, great programs.
