Broodmares

Lilly & 07 filly, Blossum is a matron on the farm & is grandma to a few. She has devoted her life to pleasing her owner, Ali Downing.
In return Ali has devoted herself to caring for Lilly over her entire lifespan. Blossum is a beautiful filly with exceptional character.

Yes, Bonnie, is Clydes sister, one year less. Loves to be a mommy and is a good, challenging ride. She’s always jumped anything I’ve put in front of her! Her 07 filly Barbie is just as bold, and really sweet at the same time!

School Horses & Ponies

Strawberry Shortcake is one of our older guys. He is the best with the most timid of riders. Never making a false move. Shorty has won over many hearts in his years at our ranch.

Porter is a large, solid Percheron gelding. He is sooooo laid back but can take on any job you give him. A smooth, dependable mount.

Moonshine is a 2 yr old mare out of Lilly & Spook. She is started under saddled. She has the trademark “medicine hat” of her ancestors. Her two blues eyes take many visitors by surprise. Different indeed!

Merlin is our oldest pony. My first born son, Ian’s, first pony. Merlin taught Ian how to ride & gave him many fond memories & successes at local horse shows & campouts, etc...
We love him dearly.

Polka Dot is my second born son, Wyatt’s, first pony. Very sweet & even tempered. Polka is a follower & will trudge about forever for the little ones.

Comet has been all over the countryside. He has become a famous favorite at annual events where he hosts pony rides for the children. Always reliable & extremely quiet.

Lady Bug

Lady Bug is a black mare, who stands approximately 15.1hh.  She is very quiet and a joy to ride.

Tabatha - a solid mare, 3 years old, Canadian/Belgian cross.

Really sweet. Fits in perfect around here!

Wyatt’s prized pony, what a great little mare. She will do anything you ask without delay. Very quiet and lovable. Getting on in her years, she is kept to a minimum of labor, mostly leisure. She is the best living lawn ornament we’ve ever had, and can be caught glancing in through the kitchen window, often in the summer.

Mystic is also a new addition to the ranch this year.  She is a little Arab mare, young, 4 yr old. Most arabs are high spirited, but this little girl seems to the exception. Very mild mannered and quiet. Will make another jumper, brought on carefully. A nice project, for a top notch rider.

Another new young addition, Freckles was very shy in the beginning, but has really warmed up to his surroundings. Although not ready for the daily grind of work, he will accompany us on several pony ride events this year, as part of our petting zoo, to socialize him with much positive rewards.

Star has been with us for several years, giving us a few beautiful babies to raise and enjoy, as well as a lot of fun. What a great little pony, lots of energy and spunk, with a willing attitude. Quite fun for the smaller intermediate riders.

Big ol, big ol, Bess! A solid built Belgian mare, a fun ride if you’re big enough, and a great team member at sleigh rides and wagon rides, along side Porter. An easy keeper, so long as you feed and feed and feed!!

Polly Wog is Lilly’s protégé.  She is an intelligent and charismatic young mare.  A very quick learner and love’s to go out for rides.

Polka Dot's filly, a lil ball of fluff!!

Polka Dot’s foal of three years ago, Porsha has been handled and raised by all the staff and kids throughout this time. A real sweety, we started to back her last summer, and know she’s ready for pony rides this year. Then, further riding in future years.
