Mission Statement
West Winds Ranch provides seasonal, recreational, activities to families, friends and groups; play and learn activities to students; and fund raising opportunities for community organizations. We are a sustainability-driven family business. Innovation will grow our business. Through our employees’ initiatives, we serve new and repeat customers by operating in a fun, friendly and safe manner. In return, we ask customers to respect their fellow visitors, our animals and our property.

Economic Benefits
West Winds Ranch contributes to the tourism marketability and commerce of our rural community. We purchase ninety per cent of our goods and services within an eighty kilometer (50 miles) radius of our farm.
Environmental Footprint
Land, GHG Emissions and Water. In April 2004, we planted 6,400 fir saplings with the assistance of the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority. This new forest will reduce CO2 emissions by 11 tons annually. We will preserve our small wetland area. We are assessing our property for possible future wetland initiatives. We do not use pesticides in our hay fields.
Operations
Our 4-acre corn maze is a no-till seeded field. The three R’s - Reuse, Recycle and Reduce - are an integral part of our operational practices and win-win sustainability strategy. We care for our animals and wildlife in a humane way.
Social Impact
We employ local students and retirees.
We donate to and promote the Canadian-based, international children organization, RIGHT TO PLAY.
We will collaborate with community organizations to use West Winds Ranch for their fund raising initiatives.
